HOW IT STARTED
It started with one set,
made for Florida Groves.
Jay's Jewels started with one necklace and earring set, made by hand for Florida Groves 2025. Growing up, jewelry was always something special to me. My mom would gift me pieces over the years, and she has an extensive collection of her own. Stylish, intentional, expressive in the way her accessories matched her outfits. I admired how a single piece could complete a look and make someone feel even more like themselves.
I couldn't always afford expensive jewelry brands, so I challenged myself to make my own. The festival and rave community gave that creativity somewhere to grow. I didn't want my jewelry to just match my outfit. I wanted it to match my soul, my mood, the way certain colors and designs made me feel.
That's where "Wear the Energy" came from. Every piece I make is handmade with intention. A feeling. A story. A small reflection of self-expression you can carry on you.

A huge part of Jay's Jewels is rooted in music. Especially the festival and rave community. I resonate most with melodic bass. It feels emotional, powerful, and healing all at once.

Artists like Alleycvt, Odesza, Dabin, Zeds Dead, Of The Trees, CloZee, Illenium and so many more inspire the kind of energy I want my pieces to carry. Their music makes me feel connected. To myself, to the people around me, to something bigger than the moment. Each piece I make is designed to hold a mood, a color, an emotion, a memory.

THE HANDMADE PROCESS
Each piece,
one bead at a time.
Every piece begins by hand-selecting beads, colors, charms, and textures that shape the energy of each drop. Sometimes that means taking apart old jewelry I've collected over the years and giving it new life. Often it means sourcing charms from small businesses, working with glass, or layering materials until the piece feels right.
Each bead is wire-wrapped and chained together by hand. The process doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes a piece becomes better than I imagined. Sometimes I have to reorder, redo, or shift the design entirely until it feels right.
Handmade isn't about perfection. It's about intention, transformation, and creating something that feels alive.
The name Jay's Jewels was inspired by my childhood dog, JJ. Also known
as Mr. Johnson. He was my first real experience with loss, and losing him
taught me how deeply love can stay with you, even after something
physical is gone.
Every piece carries that intention. Turning emotion into
something tangible, meaningful, lasting.
